This show proved to be another big experience. We encountered the most-slippery -show-floor ever !!

Aida slipped in the ring right at the warmup in the morning - which led to her limping front right leg. The condition was so bad I even thought she would not be able to compete at all.


Immediately I had to buy an anti-slipping spray for the paws and after one hour of rest we tried to execrise the leg slowly. It helped some, but naturally it was evident on Aida´s movement as she was stepping very carefully and her length of step was influenced by that.

That was also the reason she left the ring on fifth place debuting in the open class.

Judge himself acknowledged th slippery floor had lot to do with that - even without him knowing what happened to Aida in the morning. Among other things her stressed Aida´s perfectd top line and excellent angling of legs.



After this show I know for sure I will never again enter the ring indoors without this spray on legs. What an unnecessary complication and a stress for the dog it was !

All the worse for Aida - 2 weeks ago she suffered an injury of her left rear leg, demanding suture by 5 stitches.
